, 2 clasps, Punjab Frontier 1897-98, Tirah 1897-98 (4726 Lce. Corpl. / Sergt., 2d Bn. York. Regt.); 1914-15 Star (1767 Cpl., Monmouth R.); British War and Victory Medals (1767 Cpl., Monmouth. R.), together with a R.A.O.B. (Gwent) badge, silver, silver-gilt and enamels, the reverse named and dated 16 October 1920, the first with officially corrected rank, and the fourth with bent suspension ring, contact marks and edge bruising, about very fine and better (5) £250-300

John B. Harris is verified as having received the above described India General Service 1895-1902 Medal and clasps for services in the 2nd Battalion, Yorkshire Regiment (WO 100-87 refers), and he first entered the French theatre of war as a Corporal in the 3rd Battalion, Monmouthshire Regiment in mid-February 1915.
