D.C.M. recommendation dated 8 January 1855.

William Sinclair was born in the Parish of Wemyss, near Kirkland, Fifeshire, and attested for the 93rd Regiment on 23 September 1843. He served abroad in North America, 2 years 2 months, in the Eastern Campaign, 2 years 5 months, and in India for 6 years 7 months. In addition to the Crimea medal with clasps for Alma, Balaklava and Sebastopol, he was also entitled to the L.S. & G.C. medal and Indian Mutiny medal for Relief of Lucknow and Lucknow. He was discharged in the rank of Sergeant at Aberdeen on 3 October 1864. Sold with copy discharge papers.
