Solomon Alhadeff was born on 4 June 1919 in Salisbury, Rhodesia. A sales clerk by occupation, he attested for the Union Defence Force on 1 December 1942, having previously served in the Southern Rhodesia Armoured Corps Regiment. Arriving in Egypt in January 1943, he was posted to the South African Armoured Corps and thence to the South African Corps of Signals. He was discharged on 25 September 1946. Sold with copied service papers.

Martiens Blom was born in Burghersdorp in 1919. A labourer by occupation, he enlisted into the Cape Corps on 7 May 1941. He saw service in Egypt, Tunisia and French Morocco. He was discharged on 12 December 1945. Sold with copied service papers.

Jack Kline was a Jew born in South Africa in 1920. A French Polisher by occupation, he enlisted into the Union Defence Forces on 18 May 1940, having previously served in the Cape Field Artillery. He was discharged as medically unfit from the 1st City Regiment on 17 June 1943. Sold with copied service papers.
