Three: Stoker 1st Class C. H. Bundy, Royal Navy, a submariner on the fleet submarine K.9

Charles Henry Bundy was born in Stepney, London on 19 February 1894. He entered the Royal Navy in May 1912, serving as a Stoker.

During the early years of the war, he served aboard the light cruiser
Newcastle in the Pacific. Between June 1916-January 1917 he was on Pembroke II, the shore base at Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey. January - May 1917 saw him based on the Submarine Depot Ship Dolphin. From May 1917 to March 1918 he was on the depot ship Crescent, serving on the fleet submarine K.9. He was back on the Dolphin from March 1918-15 May 1918 when was invalided. Unlike several of her ill-fated sister ships, the K.9 was fortunate to meet her end at the breakers yards in 1926.
