Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (... Pte. John Jordan, ....), engraved naming, heavy edge bruising and contact marks; Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Central India (J. Jordan, 12th Lancers); Army L.S.& G.C., V.R., 3rd issue (1598 Corpl., 12th Lancers) first two with edge bruising and contact marks, good fine and better; last with slight edge bruising, very fine (3) £300-360

John Jordan was born in Chelsea, London and attested for the 12th Lancers at Westminster on 2 July 1853, aged 19 years. Promoted Corporal in 1866, he was awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1871 with a gratuity of £5. He was in possession of four good conduct badges and medals for service in the Crimea and India when he was discharged at his own request on 15 July 1874. Sold with copied discharge papers.
