Hugh McLean was born in Lasswade, Midlothian and living in Bathgate, Westlothian, enlisted at Edinburgh. Serving with the 16th Battalion Royal Scots, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 1 July 1916 - the First Day of the Battle of the Somme. The son of Owen and Margaret McLean of 29 Rosemount, Bathgate, East Lothian; having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.

Gunner James George Hales, 154th Heavy Battery, R.G.A., was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 22 July 1917, aged 31 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

George Crockett, was born, lived and enlisted in Liverpool. Serving with the 6th Reserve Park A.S.C., he died of wounds on 21 March 1918, aged 25 years. The son of Mrs Ellen Crockett of Bootle; he was buried in Nine Elms British Cemetery.
