Ashanti Star 1896 (Nursing Sister H. McCurdy, Hosp. Ship Coromandel) naming unofficially engraved on reverse arms, very fine £120-150

Nursing Sister H. McCurdy served aboard the Hospital Ship Coromandel from 25 December 1895 to 17 January 1896, and was one of only three ladies to receive the Ashanti Star. She retired as a Matron in 1924.
