India General Service 1854-95, 1 clasp, N.E. Frontier 1891 (3314 Pte. A. Willows, 4th Bn. K.R. Rif. C.) signs of brooch mounting to obverse, suspension re-fitted, replacement clasp, cleaned, generally very fine £80-100

Albert Willows was born in Kinbolton, St. Neots, Huntingdonshire. A labourer by occupation, he enlisted into the King’s Royal Rifle Corps on 18 January 1886. He served with them in India, being awarded the I.G.S. Medal with clasp N.E. Frontier, and for service in South Africa, was awarded the Queen’s medal with three clasps. Discharged in 1902, he re-enlisted in January 1915 and served until March 1919, at which time he was 53 years of age. Sold with 18 sheets of copied service papers.
