Aktiebolaget Eskilstuna Separator came into being as the result of an agreement made between Carl Gustav Patrik de Laval (1845-1913), an engineer best known for his work in milk production and the separation of cream from milk, and Oscar Lamm, proprietor of an engineering company in Eskilstuna.
