France, Les Médécins Amis du Vin, c. 1930, a bronze plaque by E.E. Chrétien for Canale, old man in pointed hat in front of a statue of Bacchus, pouring liquid from a vat into the hands and mouths of people gathered below, ADDRESSEZ-VOUS a BACCHUS Médécin, rev. snake guarding a basket of grapes, vines in background, 70 x 46mm (cf. DNW 47, 1058). Minor rim nicks on one side of reverse, otherwise extremely fine, rare (£60-80)
