Levillain for the SAMF, robed figure of Junon holding a severed female head dripping blood, peacock at right, rev. naked female seated under tree, head in her hands, dog barking at right, 47mm, edge stamped 26 (Coll. R. Marx 91; PBE 565; ANS Exh. Cat. 1910, p.309, 22; BDM III, 426; cf. BDW 9, 671). Softly worked, good very fine, very rare (£90-120)
