James III (1460-1488), Light issue, c. 1482, Groat, Edinburgh, mm. cross fleury on obv., cross pattée on rev., trefoil of pellets and five-point mullets in alternate angles, 2.19g/12h (SCBI 35, 766, same dies; B 27, and fig. 606, same obv. die; S 5280). Hairline crack across width of flan and slightly clipped, otherwise good fine, portrait better (£100-150)
