Important British and World Coins

Charles I (1625-1649), Shilling, mm. book, plume in front of bust, rev. plume above almost round scroll-garnished shield, inner circle both sides, 6.07g/2h (Morr. C-3; SCBI Brooker 755; N 2331; S 2883). Obverse very slightly double-struck and small striking split at 3 o’clock, otherwise very fine and full with attractive blue/gold tone to legends, rare (£1,200-1,500)
