Eadgar (959-975), Penny, Circumscription type, Winchester, Frithemund, fridemvnd mo pinto :·, obv. reads eadgar rex anglorv :, scroll-like symbol within inner circle at 12 and 6 o’clock, 1.53g/6h (cf. CTCE 244; N 749; S 1135). Obverse very fine, reverse better, only the second example of the type by this moneyer and the scroll decorations not previously encountered, excessively rare (£1,000-1,200)
