Important British and World Coins

Charles I (1625-1649), Groat, 1646, mm. plumelet, plumelet in front of bust, rev. three plumelets above scrolls over Declaration, date below, 1.94g/1h (Morr. A-1; cf. SCBI Brooker 1133; N 2525; S 3042). Small striking crack at 4 o’clock, otherwise good very fine with attractive dark tone (£400-500)
