Charles I (1625-1649), Groat, 1644, mm. floreate cross on obv. only, bust in armour left, lion’s head on pauldron, Oxford plume in field in front, rev. Shrewsbury plume between two lis above Declaration, date and ox below, 2.01g/12h (Morr. B-2; SCBI Brooker 957; N 2462/1; S 2985). Legends part flat, otherwise very fine, toned (£300-350)
