William II (1087-1100), Penny, Lincoln, Siword (?), [—]rd on lincon, 1.14g/2h (Harris, SCMB 1985, p.150, –; N 855; S 1261). Chipped at 8 o’clock, obverse slightly double-struck and hairline surface crack on reverse, otherwise very fine and very rare, the moneyer apparently not recorded for the type (£600-700)
