Victoria (1837-1901), 1860, by J. Moore, type 1, in silver, laureate bust left within inner beaded circle, victoria queen around, date below, rev. Britannia seated to right on rock within inner beaded circle, great britain and ireland around, value expressed as 1D, edge plain, 12.06g/12h (F 825 [dies 1+A; not in Sale]; BMC 2099; Magnay 260 [= Adams 155]). Characteristic group of rust spots by olive branch, otherwise brilliant mint state, most attractively toned, extremely rare (£600-800)
