Charles I (1625-1649), Half-Pound, 1643, mm. Oxford plume, Shrewsbury horseman riding over arms, Oxford plume in field behind, rev. group of four pellets before legend, three Oxford plumes above Declaration, date below, 59.77g/3h (Morr. A-1; SCBI Brooker Appendix I, 15; N 2404; S 2945A). A few faint hairlines on reverse, otherwise very fine and well-centred with attractive grey tone, rare (£1,800-2,200)
