France, Le Genie Couronne le XIXe. Siècle, 1899, a uniface bronze galvano plaque by J.-B. Daniel-Dupuis, seated female figure of France, holding torch, being crowned by a naked infant Genie, accoutrements of the arts and sciences below, 267 x 159mm (PBE –; Coll. R, Marx –; BDM –). A decorative piece; a few light marks above Genie, otherwise about extremely fine and with attractive light patina, very rare; with integral loop for suspension (£90-120)
