Natal Poultry Club, Durban Show, 1888, a bronze award medal, dog trotting right, rev. named (T. McCubbin), 38mm; South African & International Exhibition, Kimberley, 1892, a gilt-bronze medal by the Mint, Birmingham, gardener standing facing with tools, rev. olive and palm branches, named (Awarded to The Copal Varnish Co Ltd for excellence of Varnish Exhibits), 45mm; Witwatersrand Landbouw Genootschap, Johannesburg, a bronze award medal, named (C. North & Son, Roller, 1897), 44mm; Pretoria Landbouw Genootschap, a bronze award medal, named (W.H. Dobbie, Collie Puppy, 1898), 43mm; together with other miscellaneous South African medals (18, two in silver), from Bloemfontein, Natal, Winburg, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Krugersdorp, etc [22]. Many very fine, some better, a useful lot (£90-120)
