Georgian Baggage Warrants, six official warrants issued by the ‘Town or Borough of Stamford In the County of Lincoln’, the earliest 12 January 1808 addressed to Mrs Anne Greenwood via the hand of the Constable of ‘All Saints’ Parish requiring her to furnish ‘One cart’ by ‘Wednesday next by six o’clock in the Morning with a sufficient number of horses to go to Stilton in the County of Huntingdon to carry the Baggage of the Fifeshire Regiment of Militia for His Majesty’s Service; and hereof fail not at your Peril’, complete with the borough seal and signed by Alderman ?.Barcoing. The next four January to May 1808 are all signed by the Mayor Charles Lowe and concern the 6th Dragoons 4th Dragoons (2) and 9th Regiment of Foot. The final one 30 October 1832 is signed by Jonothan Roden Mayor and concerns the 1st (King’s) Dragoon Guards, good overall condition for age (6) £60-80
