94th (Scotch Brigade) Regiment, a fine and rare officer’s last pattern shoulder belt plate, c1815-18, copper-gilt rectangular back plate with rounded corners, silver mounts comprising the crown, ‘Peninsula’ scroll, the Elephant over roman numerals ‘XCIV’ and ‘Scotch Brigade’ laid over thistle sprays, complete with fasteners (Parkyn 522), considerable gilt loss to the back plate otherwise very good condition £800-1000

Raised in 1793 in three battalions and numbered 94th in 1802; the ‘Elephant’ awarded in 1807 for the taking of Seringapatam in 1799, ‘Peninsula’ awarded April 1815.
