German Cavalry Swords 1st Life Guards, two troopers’ swords (no scabbards) slightly curved fullered blades, grips of bound wire fishskin, the pierced steel handguards with crown and cypher the fortes with various stampings, the curled finials to the handguards stamped ‘1LG and dated ‘10.1900 and ‘10.01’; together with two African spears of wood and iron one a lightweight throwing weapon; a French Chassepot bayonet complete with scabbard St Etienne 1872, a German ?Mauser bayonet complete with steel scabbard by ‘J.Corts Sonn Remscheid’ crown over ‘W’ over ‘15’ on the back strap, a tourist quality kukri (no scabbard), bayonets in very good condition the remainder fair (7) £130-160
