Lynddon Albert Poore, who was born in August 1945, enlisted in the Royal Australian Navy in 1962. He subsequently witnessed active service in the Vietnam War as a Petty Officer in H.M.A.S. Perth during that ship’s third deployment to the region from September 1970 to April 1971.

Sold with a copy of the recipient’s service record (to 1969); the book Royal Australian Navy in Vietnam, in which Poore is verified as having been in the Perth during her third Vietnam deployment, and two copy photographs of the recipient.
