Egbert James Godfrey enlisted into the R.F.C. on 29 April 1916 and transferred to the Lincolnshire Regiment on 23 September 1917. He was discharged sick on 22 February 1918, aged 31 years, at Lichfield. He had served overseas with the R.F.C. but not with the Lincolnshire Regiment. Sold with copied Receipt of Attestation showing his transfer to the Lincolns and extract from the Silver War Badge Roll.
