Plaque held in a circular wooden frame, with silver plaque inscribed, ‘No.187850 Gnr. J. D. Munro, Royal Field Artillery, Achet-le-Grand Cemetery, France, 19th June 1917’.

John Donald Munro lived and enlisted at Inverness. Serving with “C” Battery, 310th Brigade, R.F.A., he died of wounds on 19 June 1917, aged 22 years. The son of Duncan and Jessie Munro of Beaufort Road, Inverness; he was buried in the Achet-le-Grand Communal Cemetery Extension.
