Three: Private M. Kavanagh, Royal Irish Regiment

Michael Kavanagh enlisted at Clonmel on 14 May 1913 and was posted to the 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Regiment at Devonport in September 1913. He entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 15 August 1914 and was wounded and taken prisoner at Le Pilly on 21 October 1914. The Germans took 302 prisoners at Le Pilly, most of the men were wounded. Held by the Germans for the duration of the war, he was released on 19 December 1918 and discharged on 21 March 1919. Sold with some copied research.
