Albert Edward Barnes was born in 1927. He enlisted into the Army Catering Corps in October 1948 and qualified as a Cook Class “B” III in the following year and qualified as a Sergeant Cook in 1955. He served with the B.A.O.R., February 1949-March 1950 and in the Middle East, April 1951-April 1954. He was discharged from the Regular Army as a Lance-Corporal in January 1965 and from the T.& A.V.R. in March 1966.

Sold with copied M.O.D. forwarding slip to Staff Sergeant A. E. Barnes, Army Catering Corps and with copied certificates of service.
