William Dixon was born in Ashington, Northumberland and enlisted at Newcastle-on-Tyne. Serving with the 12th Battalion Royal Sussex Regiment, he was killed in action on 10 May 1916, aged 37 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.

Hugh Friock was born in and enlisted at Glasgow. Serving with the 18th Battalion Highland Light Infantry (4th Glasgow) he was killed in action on 28 November 1916, aged 28 years. He was buried in the Faubourg d’Amiens Cemetery at Arras.
