Defence and War Medals; General Service 19621 clasp, Malay Peninsula (Flt. Lt., R.A.F.), mounted as worn, some contact marks, very fine (lot) £180-220

P. O’K. Plumpton was born on 27 September 1950, first commissioned into the Physical Training Branch of the R.A.F. in 1950 and attained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in 1954. He retired from the service in 1975 and died on 1 April 1995.

Sold with R.A.F. Officers cap and 5 different sporting ‘caps’- these bearing his name. Also with a ‘Gieves’ invoice for mounting two medals and a German document bearing the recipient’s photograph, dated 1954. Sold with a set of three miniature dress medals, with a G.S.M. 1918-62, E.II.R., clasp Malaya in place of the above.
