Cabul 1842 (No.632 Angus Cameron, 3rd K.O.L.D.), regimentally engraved naming, replacement silver clip and straight bar suspension, minor edge bruising, good very fine £400-450

Angus Cameron was born in South Keith, Scotland. A hatter by occupation, he enlisted into the 1st Royal Dragoons on 19 April 1828 and served with them until 30 June 1837. He was then transferred to the 3rd Light Dragoons and served them until 30 September 1846 when he was discharged with a gratuity. With the 3rd Light Dragoons he served in the First Afghan War, being awarded the Cabul Medal, and the First Sikh War, being awarded the Sutley Medal for Moodkee with clasps for Ferozeshuhur and Sobraon.
