George Harrison was born in Dalton-in-Furness, Lancashire and enlisted at Wigan. Serving with the 11th Battalion Manchester Regiment he was killed in action in gallipoli on 12 September 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial.
