American Military: A Vietnam War Zippo lighter, 11th Airborne Division, the chrome plated lighter signed ‘Zippo, Bradford, PA’ to the base, the front side reading ‘VIETNAM 68-69 LOC NINH, with insignia below, the reverse reading: ‘THERE IS NO GRAVITY THE WORLD SUCKS’, length 55mm. £50-£70

Lighters could be customised with regimental cyphers and engravings and were purchased by soldiers returning home as a memento of their military service in the specific theatre of operations in Vietnam.
