Miscellaneous, Typeface Trial, the obv. of a Florin, undated [1961], in cupro-nickel, bust left as on the currency coin, normal legends in Albertus, trial alb. in two lines below chin, rev. Tower Mint logo, edge grained, 11.16g/12h. Extremely fine and extremely rare (£300-400)

This piece, and those in the following three lots, were produced by the Royal Mint in October 1961 for the Royal Mint Advisory Committee sub-committee investigating the most suitable type of lettering for coinage, under Sir Francis Meynell and Mr Milner Gray
