France, Baptism of the King of Rome, 1811, a large silver medal by B. Andrieu, laureate bust of Napoleon left, rev. Emperor holds his infant son above the baptismal font, 115mm (CGMP p.78; BDM I, 54). Light graze in field and rubbing on highest point of truncation, otherwise good very fine, the obverse dark-toned, very rare (£500-600)
