Obverse only illustrated. The Sutherland Technical School, built in 1903 at the behest of Millicent, Duchess of Sutherland for the education of crofters' sons in Caithness and Sutherland, was located half a mile south of Golspie, off the A9 trunk road. Disused since 2000, Highland Council are currently attempting to convert the building into new headquarters
