Practically as struck; in original dark leatherette fitted case and very rare as such (£300-400)

First only illustrated. The New Centenary tokens were the brainchild of the numismatists William John Davis (1848-1934) of Moseley and John Macmillan (1836-1921) of Edgbaston; 51 sets were struck in bronze, and issued by subscription at 2s. per token. The tokens helped to publicise W.J. Davis’ The Token Coinage of Warwickshire (Birmingham, 1895), which was being compiled at the time the tokens made their appearance
