William Edward Crunston (also recorded at Crumston) attested for the King’s Royal Rifle Corps and served with the 3rd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 1 April 1915. He died of wounds on 9 May 1915, and is buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium.
