Republic, Proof set, 1992, comprising 2 Rupees (2), Land - Vital Resource, Calcutta mint (GGN UN02; KM -) [2]. Both lightly polished, otherwise about as struck, extremely rare; in blue fitted case of issue £8,000-£10,000

The National Resources Conservation Week was observed from 15-21 November 1992, as part of an awareness campaign for conservation and promotion of scientific management of land resources. To commemorate this event a 2 Rupees coin was struck by the Kolkata Mint; the mintage of this coin is believed to be 380. A few proof sets in acrylic boxes or red rexine holders are known, but this Executive VIP Proof set is previously unknown.
