Edward IV (First reign, 1461-1470), Groat, Coventry, mm. sun, quatrefoils by neck, c on breast, trefoils on cusps but not above crown, double saltire after franc, 3.05g/10h (B & W VI, 1; N 1581; S 2008). On an irregular flan, faint hairline striking cracks at 1 and 11 o’clock, otherwise very fine with attractive light tone, rare (£300-350)
