Charles I (1625-1649), 1643, mm. plume, rev. three small Shrewsbury plumes above Declaration, date below, colon stops, 6.11g/12h (Morr. C-8; cf. SCBI Brooker 934; N 2441; S 2974). Attempted piercing at centre (at the time of the re-coinage of 1696-7?), otherwise obverse fine, reverse nearly very fine, rare; the die combination not recorded by Morrieson (£200-250)
