Manchester Royal School of Medicine & Surgery, 1845, a group of silver award medals (5), all awarded to John Shepherd Fletcher, for excelling in Materia Medica, Medical Botany and Therapeutics, Session 1843 and 1844; Anatomy etc, Midwifery and Diseases of Women and Children, Practice of Physic, Surgery, all Session 1844-45, all 55mm; Manchester Royal Infirmary, 1844, a silver award medal, named (2nd Prize for Clinical Reports in Surgery, this medal was awarded by W.I. Wilson to Mr John Fletcher Shepherd, Octr 1844), hallmarked Charles Reily & George Storer, London, 1844, 51mm [6]. Very fine or better and rare, first glazed [the reverse lunette cracked], last with integral suspension loop; housed in a fitted contemporary or slightly later book-like case (originally for seven items) £200-£300
