Reuben G. Simpson was born in Lambeth, London, and attested for the Royal Army Medical Corps at Camberwell. He served with the 115th Sanitary Section during the Great War in Palestine, and died on active service on 29 September 1918. He is buried in Jerusalem War Cemetery.
