William Dann served as a Private in Captain William Turner’s Company of the 3rd Battalion, 14th Foot at Waterloo. He was admitted to an Out-Pension at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, on 4 August 1824, suffering from paralysis, and was resident at Cranbrook, near Canterbury. His service totalled 13 years 6 months, including 5 years 8 months in the East Indies.
