Thomson Favard entered the East Africa, Nyasaland, and Northern Rhodesia theatre of war as a Sapper with the East African Royal Engineer Volunteers on 13 October 1915.

Sold with copied Medal Index Card which shows that he also served with the Telegraph Section and subsequently transferred to the East African Unattached List.
