The Northamptonshire Regiment, a very fine 1878 pattern home service blue cloth helmet (rounded front peak) bearing the QVC plate (KK261), the plate retains 100% original fire gilt and the majority of the fittings under surface grime are very sound, the front peak trim with some gilt loss, internally excellent with only one extra top fixing hole, this most likely occurred when the earlier 48th or 58th hlemet plate was removed, chin chain leather/velvet lining part detached, very good overall state £600-800
