Horace Eugene Charles Strugnell was born on 10 October 1908 in Ramsgate, Kent and enlisted into the Royal Australian Air Force at Brisbane, Queensland on 7 August 1940. He was discharged as a Warrant Officer in No.6 Squadron on 15 November 1961.
