Alexander Hutcheson was born in Elgin and enlisted at Glasgow. Serving with the 16th Battalion Highland Light Infantry, he was killed in action on 18 November 1916. He was buried in Ten Tree Alley Cemetery, Puisieux, Pas de Calais, France.
