Naval General Service 1793-1840, 1 clasp, 29 Sep Boat Service 1812 (William Ford) two edge bruisies and some scratching to Queen’s bust, otherwise better than very fine £1000-1200

William Ford (roll gives Forde) is confirmed as an Able Seaman aboard H.M.S. Aboukir in the attack against the Prussians at Mitta, in the Gulf of Riga. 27 clasps were issued for this action. Three other men named William Ford/Forde are shown on the roll as entitled to other clasps.
